There is an overwhelming amount of information and advice.  Knowledge is needed to synthesize and break this down into simple, actionable steps.

About

I am Debra Banville, Ph.D., an Integrative Nutrition Coach with over 20 years of biomedical research experience that I used to heal myself. 

After much trial and error, I reversed my type 2 diabetes through diet and lifestyle changes.  I now offer personalized Health Coaching to help you create a solid foundation for your health and wellness through self-discovery.  It is not a quick fix but about sustainable lifestyle change where YOU are in the driver's seat.

Making a behavioral change is rarely a simple or quick process.  

Forming new habits can take three to six months.  As your health coach and guide, I will help you to assess your readiness to change, anticipate and overcome barriers and shift course while staying on track toward success.  The program is highly personalized, factoring in your history, culture, and personal preferences.

  • During my journey, I learned that everyone is unique, no one diet will work for everyone, and diets need to change even as we age.  As your health coach, I will help you create goals and overcome obstacles, honoring who you are and where you are in life.  The goal is to develop a lifestyle and diet to satisfy and sustain yourself.  It is all about thriving and living your best life! 

  • I was trained at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) as a certified Health Coach, studied Nutrition and Healthy Living at Cornell University, have a Ph.D. from Emory University, a Post Doctorate from UCSF, and have over 20 years of biomedical research experience. I am not a licensed medical or health professional, but I can partner with your healthcare provider, providing strategies to pave the way for real, lasting change.

Consultation

Start your journey with a free health history consultation. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Health Coaching and see if it is the right fit for you. Your one-hour session can be done by phone or as a Zoom call. There is no pressure to sign-up for the program.

  • Based on your goals, sessions focus on creating meaningful changes, such as identifying blind spots and strategies for overcoming barriers.

    This full coaching process runs for twelve sessions over six months but can be as short as a single one-hour session.
